IB Biology (SL & HL)
Welcome to IB Biology (SL & HL) with Mr. Shalman! Biology is, simply put, the study of life! More specifically it is the study and inquiry of how life interacts with the natural world around it. For SL IB Biology, we will be covering Topics including Cell & Membrane Structure, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Ecology, Evolution & Biodiversity, and Human Physiology. Topics in HL IB Biology will include Plant Biology, Nucleic Acids, Cellular Energy, Genetics, Evolution, and Animal Physiology. IB Biology is taught at a college rigor level in order to prepare for the IB Biology Examination in the Spring. I am excited to explore this fascinating and incredible subject with you throughout the school year!
